GIVAS presents VEGA, a revolutionary concept of electric bed, born from the fruitful partnership between our Research and Development department and medical-nursing teams.
Thanks to this collaboration we have been able to create a Technological, Intuitive, Ergonomic and Efficient product capable of simplifying the daily assistance operations, increasing the autonomy and comfort of the patient and facilitating any sanitation intervention.
The structure of the containment sides of the Vega bed guarantees complete protection of the patient for the entire length of the bed, minimizing the risk of limb entrapment. (standard CEI EN 60601-2-52)
Made of polypropylene, rotationally molded and mass-painted, they guarantee high resistance even when subjected to strong stresses. The particular ergonomic design of the handle facilitates the patient’s autonomous mobilization, avoiding the operator dangerous loading efforts and favoring the patient’s rehabilitation and psychological recovery.
The clean and modern lines of the containment area, consisting of headboards and footboards with recessed angles and 4-sector sides, together with the use of non-toxic materials make VEGA ideal and versatile for use also in pediatric environments.
With VEGA we want to propose a pediatric restraint in keeping with the real body dimensions of the age of development. Givas believes that extendable pediatric beds cannot guarantee the comfort and safety of adult-sized patients. Therefore, children with a minimum height of 90 cm can be accommodated by using compensation cushions to reduce the size of the lying surface, as shown in the graphic.
Night hours are the most sensitive time of the day for the operator who must ensure maximum safety for the patient. Incorrect elevations and positioning of the floors are the main causes of accidental falls when the patient descends from the bed. Now with Vega a simple glance is enough to understand if the bed is configured in the safest position for the night.
In SAFE MODE a GREEN LED light placed under the bed will project a light beam on the floor, immediately signaling to the operator the correct positioning of VEGA. On the contrary, the light beam will be RED.

– minimum elevation reached Omitting
one of the above settings will activate the RED light.

POD control is much more than a Supervisor for controlling the functions and movements of the bed, it is a total monitoring system of all the functions of the bed that may be required by hospital nursing teams and operators.
