The movement of patients on stretchers is a common practice, especially in emergency departments, and consequently is the main cause of serious risks of injury to the detriment of healthcare workers, who often urgently perform unnatural movement maneuvers, sometimes even uphill.
The new BT stretchers with e-drive system with intuitive electric assisted guide have been designed to be used by a single healthcare worker, guaranteeing, thanks to the fifth motorized wheel, at the touch of a push, no effort of front-back and side movements. , for a totally easier transport, in complete safety and simplicity.
The 5th electric motorized swivel wheel
of the E-drive system has a diameter of
145 mm and a suspension system that bypasses any impervious obstacles along hospital routes.
The E-drive technology present inside the push handles allows the wheel to be operated only during the grip and push phase (forward and backward); in proportion to the thrust force applied there will be an increase in the speed of acceleration or deceleration. During the release of the thrust the system has a gradual autonomous braking force.
The motorized wheel of the e-drive system can be rotated 90 ° to the right and left to facilitate lateral movements. Furthermore, the particular conformation of the bumper bars, associated with the possibility of variable height and the absence of lateral protrusions, allow the stretcher to be completely placed next to the main hospital and diagnostic devices, minimizing the difficulty of transferring the patient.
The total absence of structural elements interposed between the lying surface and the plate holder potter allowed the insertion of chromed guides (standard) along the entire longitudinal area of the stretcher, allowing radiographs to be performed for the entire length of the body surface of the stretcher. patient, excluding handling in the most critical situations.
The complete radiolucency is also guaranteed by the sectors of the lying surface, made of self-supporting radiolucent HPL plastic laminate 10 mm thick.
The movements and the generous dimensions of the lying surfaces (both 2 and 4 sections) offer a high level of comfort both during the intervention phase and during
prolonged patient parking .
The riser columns located at the ends of the structure free up a large area below the lying surface, allowing the use of the image intensifier on both sides of the stretcher itself.
Particular attention was paid to the study and use of advanced systems in the various movements for the lifting of the columns and for the elements of the bearing surface, considerably simplifying the activities of health workers.
By means of only three bilateral controls, every single movement is intuitive, making the Slim Series stretchers simple, extremely flexible and functional.
